Restaurant series: Grill Americano

We are very proud at St Remio to be the official coffee partner of Chris Lucas' newest restaurant, Grill Americano.
An uber-chic, American-Italian restaurant that truly lives up to the hype.

Tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Flinders Lane, this Italian steakhouse is all about classic Italian cocktails, handmade pastas, and of course the Josper charcoal grill, a custom-made woodfire oven imported from Naples which forms the basis of the extensive menu. The Bistecca Alla Fiorentina is a must; a 1.2 kilogram T-bone cooked over the charcoal and doused in rosemary and sea salt. Paying homage to the essentials of Tuscan cuisine, sharing is recommended (you’ll want to try as much as possible!).

It doesn’t stop there...the classics keep coming on the dessert menu. Tiramisu, biscotti, vanilla meringata and gelato to name a few,
all paired excellently with an epic, sustainably sourced St Remio Coffee.

The recent opening of Grill Americano plays a meaningful part in reviving the city of Melbourne after two years’ dormancy,
and it has made quite the mark already! Bravo Lucas Group, you’ve done it again.
