Restaurant Series: Meat Flour Wine
Feel like you’re part of the family at Meat Flour Wine. This local favourite is a true gem in Melbourne’s south-east. You’ll definitely want to add this one to your list, even if it’s not your local (it’s worth the trek…trust us!)
We are so please to welcome Meat Flour Wine to the St Remio family, a family-run business that brings a rustic twist to the Italian classics. With a warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to gather with family and friends and be treated to the ultimate chef-prepared feast with a hearty touch.
We were lucky enough to get to try some of their classic dishes. Their ultra creamy, authentic Carbonara; made just like a carbona should be, with pancetta and their house-made pasta, coated in a rich, pecorino sauce. Expect only the best here.
Another highlight was the pillowy, soft Ricotta Gnocchi with butter, sage, lemon zest and basil pesto, the perfect option for your vego friends!
You definitely can’t pass up one of their authentic, woodfire pizzas. Why not grab one to share? We LOVED the Prosciutto: featuring S.Marzano tomato, fior di latte mozzarella, fresh rocket, cherry tomatoes, San Danielle Prosciutto, shaved parmigiano & balsamic glaze. The huge menu has something for everyone, with an array of grilled meats and other mains like slow-cooked lamb shoulder to choose from…you really can’t go wrong!
No matter how full you are, the tiramisu is a must! Paired with a St Remio coffee of course! It’s the only way to finish off a feast this good.
